Following the Principles and Practices, the Seminar Series continues with three Lower Body Core seminars followed by Advanced Techniques: Lower Body. The series progresses with three Upper Body Core seminars followed by Advanced Techniques: Upper Body. These are all two-day seminars consisting of lecture combined with guided hands-on practicum.

The Upper Body Core Seminars

  • (UB-1) Upper Back, Chest and Shoulder
  • (UB-2) Head, Neck and Jaw
  • (UB-3) Elbow, Wrist and Hand

The Lower Body Core Seminars

  • (LB-1) Mid and Low Back
  • (LB-2) Hip, Buttock and Pelvic
  • (LB-3) Knee, Ankle and Foot

Program Overview and Course Objectives

  • Review the detailed anatomy and function of each muscle involved in lower and upper body pain
  • Learn the documented Trigger Point locations for each muscle and learn how to identify them
  • Become familiar with the common symptoms involved in lower and upper body Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS)
  • Be able to identify the most common Precipitating and Perpetuating Factors of lower and upper body MPS and apply Corrective Actions
  • Become familiar with Differential Diagnosis
  • Be able to identify and treat nerve entrapments, vascular and nerve compressions or other significant phenomenon contributing to pain and dysfunction
  • Learn evaluation techniques including Range Of Motion Testing
  • Learn specific methods for inactivating MTrPs and correcting fascial distortions
  • Develop a specific Home Exercise Program to prevent the return of pain and dysfunction
