Advanced Techniques: Upper Body
base

The Advanced Techniques: Upper Body seminar draws heavily from the preceding Core Seminars. Where the Core Seminars address the regional pain approach, the Advanced Techniques seminar emphasizes the functional, mechanical and neurological relationships between the muscles and joints of the upper body.

Advanced Techniques: Upper Body seminar will include:

  • Costal Evaluation and Treatment
  • Glenohumeral Joint Capsule Stretch
  • Elbow Release Technique
  • Carpal, Metacarpal and Digit Release Technique
  • Carpal Tunnel Protocol
  • C1 Evaluation and Treatment Protocol

After inactivating Myofascial Trigger Points (MTrPs) in muscles that produce postural distortion, joints may remain dysfunctional. This may cause MTrPs to reestablish.

You will learn Muscle Energy Techniques to restore normal joint function. This comprehensive expansion of the treatment protocol enables the body to maintain neutral postural alignment.

Identifying and addressing Perpetuating Factors can be the difference between success or failure of any treatment. We will explore the most common of these, how to identify and eliminate them.

UB-1, 2 and 3 are prerequisites for Advanced Techniques: Upper Body
